The U.S. Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida, has issued a press release detailing a lawsuit and settlement agreement with Florida Cardiology, P.A. and 10 physicians found to have submitted “inflated claims” to Medicare and Medicaid.

According to the court documents, doctors within the practice were found to have billed for stents and ablations that were either never performed or performed by a non-qualified provider. Additional findings included circumstances where the physicians were billing for services while outside of the United States.
